25th Annual JAA Exhibition of Japanese and Japanese American Artists in New York/JAA Fundraiser

With the support of the Consulate General of Japan in New York, 週刊NY生活 デジタル版 (NY Shukan Seikatsu), and よみタイム  (Yomitime NY), the 25th Annual JAA Exhibition of Japanese and Japanese American Artists opened last Thursday, May 20, 2021 at JAA Hall.  It will be open until this Saturday, May 29, 2021.  Due to COVID-19, we canceled last May’s annual exhibition. 

The opening reception was held on May 20, the second day of New York City's reopening, with all participants vaccinated (but requested to wear masks at the venue).  Ambassador Kanji Yamanouchi 山野内勘二 offered special greetings for the more than 70 participants who joined in person (including exhibitors at JAA Hall) and online.  All attendees were delighted to see each other and these beautiful artworks and to celebrate the reopening the city.  Amb. Yamanouchi purchased one of the pieces, one of six bought that day.  Please visit the JAA exhibition, and support local Japanese and JA artists, as well as JAA, which receives half of the proceeds.
