Thursday, July 11th, from 7:00 - 9:00pm

This free event is part of a series of DELVE Networking events designed by Kind Aesthetic to gather artists, creatives, and arts professionals together in a relaxed environment to get to know each other outside of crowded gallery openings. Kind Aesthetic is a Brooklyn based arts consultancy focused on creating tailored services for artists and creative businesses. Each DELVE Networking event begins with talks given by outside speakers sharing their own unique path in the art world. At this specific event, A.I.R. Gallery has the honor of presenting talks by Matthew Deleget of MINUS SPACE, Laura Roumanos of United Phot Industries, and A.I.R. Gallery's own 2012-2013 Fellowship Artist, Shanti Grumbine.

A.I.R. Gallery & Shanti Grumbine Present: An Evening of Original Poetry and Prose by Female Veterans
Sunday, July 14th, from 4:30 - 6:00pm

For this special event, A.I.R. Fellow, Shanti Grumbine has partnered with Warrior Writers to create a supportive public space within the gallery where female veteran's voices and stories can be heard. In her exhibition, The Glittering Point, Grumbine removes text and image from The New York Times newspaper, poetically making space for marginalized narratives and voices.  The aim of this event is to temporarily fill that space and to help bridge the gap between civilians and veterans by using the gallery as a common ground where diverse truths and experiences can be witnessed and valued.
