Recent Work by A.I.R. Gallery's New York Artists
A.I.R. Gallery is pleased to announce the opening of WET PAINT, an exhibition of recent works by A.I.R. Gallery's New York Artists. WET PAINT is work that is fresh from the artists' studios, a snapshot of what they're working on right now.
Dina Kantor has been photographing in and around Treece, KS, since 2010, observing dramatic changes in both life and landscape. Her photographs are an archive of the community, a document of its transformation, and an investigation into the environmental and economic impact of past practices on both individuals and the landscape.
Wish You Were Here 13 exhibits original works by more than 300 artists including such artists as Mary Beth Edelson, Mary Grigoriadas, Lourdes Asencio, and Aaron Morgan. The 4" x 6" artworks were created and donated by A.I.R. Gallery artists, and hundreds of national and international artists from as far away as Sweden, Italy, France, Canada, and Japan.
A.I.R. Gallery's Fellowship Program for under-represented and emerging women artists is made possible by public funds from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs, the NY State Council on the Arts, JP Morgan Chase through a re-grant from the Brooklyn Arts Council, as well as generous support from the Bernheim Foundation, the Gifford Foundation, Elizabeth A. Sackler, the Milton and Sally Avery Foundation, and many generous individual donors.
